Barry M's Mushroom + Croc effect nail varnishes
Just thought I would show the two latest additions to my Barry M nail varnish collection (A collection post is on its way).I bought these at Boots because I saw it was buy 2, get £1 off (not a massive discount, but it persuaded me).I have heard quite a lot about the Mushroom colour, and I have to agree that it looks like a lovely dark nude colour. However, I have only heard about the croc effect once, but I really liked the look it gave, so decided to get it (YOLO).
'Mushroom' has a really good coverage compared to normal Barry M colours, and it dries pretty quickly (I wonder if they have improved their formula?). I quite like the colour - it comes out like the underneath brownnesss of a mushroom but a little bit more greeny.
Unlike the crackle polish, the croc effect takes about 5 minutes to develop fully, and it is shiny once it is complete. Honestly, I was dissapointed at how little it 'crocced' on first application....
But then I looked at the instructions on the bottle, and it said that the nail varnish shouldn't be completely dry before you put the croc effect on. So I used Mushroom and put a fairly thin layer on a bare nail. I then blew it for 2 seconds, probably waited 5 seconds and then put a moderately thick layer of the croc effect on. This worked MUCH better....
Then I did the same on my thumb, but used a much thicker layer of the croc effect, and this is the result I got.
I didn't like it as much as my little finger, but I still thought it was cool.
So by the end, I did quite like the croc effect, and I think it will be good instead of a plain black nail.
Hope you enjoyed!

Review: St Moriz
I've been meaning to do this review for ages but just never seemed to get round to it! I'm pretty sure the majority of people have heard of the St Moriz Fake tan. I believe you can only get it in the UK(don't quote me on that though) and it's around the £2-£3 mark depending where you get it from. I got mine from a makeup stall in town and it was £2, Bargain!

There's two colours to choose from, medium or dark. I decided to get mine in medium just to be on the safe side. The colour is absolutely fine, not too orange thankfully. You can also either get a mousse or a spray and I opted for the mousse as it seemed ess of a faff.

Tanning me: Primark £1 |
To be fair, it does look a bit like poo when it comes out haha. It applies really nice, not streaky at all surprising and I found it dried super fast too! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of me wearing the tan/what it looks like on the skin. Sorry this was a bit of a rubbish review, so leave a comment if you would like to see a more in-depth review with swatches etc, or even a how i apply fake tan. Have any of you used the St Moriz fake tan? What do you think?

Colour Xtreme Hair Art Spray
Last summer we all decided to have a little experiment with the trend of brightly coloured dip dyed hair and when we came across these Hair Art Sprays in various colours from Boots they seemed perfect as it is a non-permanent product which washes out with only one wash. Each spray cost £4.07 for 75ml however it lasts for multiple uses so is well worth the money. The colours were very vibrant and showed up on each of our hair colours, both blonde or brown, this product is only good if you are wanting to add bright colours to your hair as it does not come in any natural shades.

This was how it turned out, a step by step guide of how we did it will follow! |
I have also seen that Colour Xtreme sell a gel version of this product which is slightly more costly but may not leave the hair with such a hasky feel to it as it is applied in more of a liquid form. Have any of you tried this yet?xx
American Apparel Haul
Never having bought from American Apparel, I usually wishfully gaze at their on-line shop in hope that one day I could own some of their extortionately expensive clothes. So when it was my birthday, and I received an email off them with a 25% discount code, I jumped at the opportunity to go a little crazy with some of my birthday money.
The order took about a week to arrive and cost £4, so it wasn't really the best service. However, when I opened the parcel, I was very happy with the sizing, colours and quality of the clothes.
My first item was a simple pair of high-waisted jeans. I have been looking for a pair of nice high-waisted jeans for a while, but always find that there is more than one button, or they are generally ugly, so when I saw these on the website, I was very pleased.
They were £64, not including the discount - much more than I have ever paid for jeans.
When I felt the material, I was a bit dissapointed because I expected a thick, soft and stretchy denim, but instead, they were quite thin; nice and stretchy, but a little sparse. However, when I put them on, they fitted perfectly and I fell in love with them all over again. I ordered size small, and I would say I am a medium size 10.
The second item I bought was this teal silk skirt, and it was only £7 (reduced from £30) without the discount. Like I said, I am a medium size 10, but I am also quite tall (5"9) so I didn't know whether the XS/S size I ordered would fit. But it did. I really like the fit and the colour, but I can tell it is quality because of the strong elastic in the waist band.
Overall, I am very happy with the products I got but if there is a store near you, I would reccommend using that, instead of their generally crappy online service.
Have you had any good/bad experiences with American Apparel?
Lots of love xx

Miracle Oil With Argan Oil

I've been wanting to try the argan oil hair treatments for a long time now, but with the hefty price tag of anywhere between £10-£20 i was a little put off. Whilst shopping with my mum the other day i noticed this in Aldi. Carino Professional 'Miracle Oil' with argan oil for the bargain price of £3.99! It's a 50ml bottle, which in my opinion, depending on how frequent you use it, could last you anywhere between 2-3 months.
The oil claims to strengthen, smooth and seal in shine and states it is for all hair types. The packaging recommends you use as a leaving in conditioner treatment, but i prefer to use it on my hair when i've dried/styled it. At first the product seems to feel like it would leave your hair feeling greasy but i can safely say it didn't one bit and instead left my hair feeling smooth and silky. And thats just after one use! Overall i would definitely recommend this product as a cheaper alternative as it does just the job!
Lots of Love

Aussie Dual Personality Curl Definition and Soft Feel Serum
So I decided to pick this up last week due to the 3 for 2 on at boots across haircare and accesories - it was £4.99.
When I first squirted some out, I didn't expect it to be so runny and I basically got it all over my clothes and face haha, not a good time. So yes, beware. But other than it's water-like formation, I think it is a lovely product. It smells lovely and fruity (as with all of Aussie's products) and it makes my hair really soft without any grease whatsoever.
For the 'curl definition' side of things, I think it is OK. I don't have really curly hair, but if I let it dry naturally (which I normally do) then it goes wavy. It does minimize frizz, which I suppose aids in more defined curls.
I would recommend this because of it's fruity smell and it's low price, and I think it would be really good if you were trying to condition and soften your hair.
What are your favourite products for curls?
See you later!
