Colour Xtreme Hair Art Spray

Last summer we all decided to have a little experiment with the trend of brightly coloured dip dyed hair and when we came across these Hair Art Sprays in various colours from Boots they seemed perfect as it is a non-permanent product which washes out with only one wash. Each spray cost £4.07 for 75ml however it lasts for multiple uses so is well worth the money. The colours were very vibrant and showed up on each of our hair colours, both blonde or brown, this product is only good if you are wanting to add bright colours to your hair as it does not come in any natural shades.

As you can see, a downside was the mess. I would recommend you cover up your clothes and furniture when using the spray as it  was difficult to remove if it got on your clothing and left a slight stain on our hands. The major disadvantage I found with this spray was the straw-like texture it left in your hair and this has put me off using it too regularly despite how well it coloured my hair. Overall this product was good as a temporary measure but if I were to colour my hair in this way for any length of time then this product would not be the right option.

This was how it turned out, a step by step guide of how we did it will follow!
I have also seen that Colour Xtreme sell a gel version of this product which is slightly more costly but may not leave the hair with such a hasky feel to it as it is applied in more of a liquid form. Have any of you tried this yet?xx
